Special Feature: Tables in Progress - Page 2

Centaur and Time Fantasy by Bob

Centaur_Bob.jpg (36114 bytes)
Centaur by Bob

Bob is the author of Bally's Monte Carlo and an original table called Appetite For Pinball. He is currently working on Capcom's Breakshot. From the Centaur screenshot, we can see that he has put a lot of work on the design of the table. Bob is currently trying to solve a multiball problem on the table. We might have a release soon.

Recently, Bob has posted this screenshot from Williams Time Fantasy.
You can check Bob's website for updates on his current work at:

Mr. Do! by Mike

This is an updated screenshot from the game. The table is based on the Mr. Do! videogame series. The ramp has really an unusual look and people on the forum were wondering if the ball wouldn't be often stuck in the lower part of the wireframe but, according to the author, the ramp seems to work fine, he has used a hidden kicker in the center of the ramp to prevent the ball from getting stuck. Mike has just posted a message to the forum informing that he will hopefully be releasing the table real soon. Update: Mr.Do! was released on March 19, 2001.

Dolly Parton by Cutter

Dolly Parton by Cutter

Cutter is currently working on Bally's Dolly Parton. According to the author the game is playable but it lacks sounds. There is another version of Dolly Parton being worked by jompa, jompa's Dolly Parton is not featured here because it has been released and for this article, I'm concentrated only on unreleased tables. But you can check the progress of jompa's Dolly Parton and his other table Harlem Globetrotters at his website:

Update: Dolly Parton by Cutter was released on March 26, 2001.

Planet Probe by Marcos

This is an original table. The screenshot is the only one I could find from this game and it seems to be from the early stages of the development. The playfield art is also original but everytime I look at it I can't help remembering the Pinbot series. Marcos is currently trying to solve some scripting problems but we hopefully have a release soon. Update: Planet Probe was released on March 19, 2001.

Panthera by joxer

Panthera_Joxer.jpg (39127 bytes)
Panthera by joxer

Panthera is a Gottlieb pinball from the early eighties. According to the author work on the game is 85% done. It lacks the background sound and some of the rules. This seems to be the first VP conversion of a solid state Gottlieb pinball game.

Steel Wheels by joxer and Rock

Another Pinball Dreams conversion. The table looks really good. It looks like very soon we will be able to play all four original games from the package (Beat Box is featured on the previous page, I know there's somebody working on Ignition, we only need a designer willing to recreate Nightmare). Rock is making the layout and graphics while joxer is coding the rules. The table is about 75% done. Sounds (except for the background music) are already in the game.

So here it is, the list of upcoming tables. I hope you liked this Special Feature. I'll try to update the page with more games as much as possible. If you have an unreleased table and want to publish information of the game on this page, send me an e-mail or post a message on the VP Forum.
